In a world-wide now abruptly filled with too many fairs, at least one is gone from our lives — at least for this year, maybe longer — and good ticket auctions be held accountable!
FYF Fest won’t be happening this year, after fete owners drew the push on the contest only weeks after announcing its lineup and are now beginning to gear up for the large-hearted weekend.
According to media reports out on Saturday afternoon, low ticket marketings are to blame for owneds AEG Live and Goldenvoice deciding to pull the plug on the El Lay-based event. It was initially founded by Sean Carlson in 2004.
Of course, Carlson was bought out of the FYF Fest brand entirely late last year after disturbing accounts of his alleged sexual abuse and malpractice towards maidens were made publicly available.
This was supposed to be a big year for the celebration to get back on its feet without Carlson and start strong again … but nope! Looks like the whole happening really up and evaporated, at the least for one year now.
We’ll see if it ever recalls!
What do U conclude, Perezcious readers ?!
Are there too many damn music fairs, or are you livin’ for every single one of ’em !!
